This is NOT your typical Florida off-road adventure! 🌴🚙 When I started planning this trip, I wanted it to be about more than just dirt roads, mud and obstacles. I wanted to experience Florida in a completely different way. And DAY 1 did NOT disappoint! From exploring the mangroves by paddleboard and cruising around Key Largo on an e-bike, to jumping on a boat with a local captain, snorkeling the reefs and discovering Christ of the Abyss beneath the water… this adventure took some pretty unexpected turns! This Florida Adventure was definitely something different… and that’s what made it so interesting! While exploring the Keys, I met Captain Scott with Beyond Blessed Charters and he invited me out on his boat to explore some pretty incredible places… snorkeling the reefs, seeing Christ of the Abyss and just experiencing the Keys from a completely different perspective than just a 4 Wheel Drive rig. Sometimes the best parts of an adventure are the things you never planned. Really grateful for this day and for Captain Scott letting me tag along. 🌊🤿 @beyondblessedcharters

DAY 1 — THIS THURSDAY. 🌴 I wanted this adventure to be about more than just rocks, mud and hard obstacles. I wanted it to be about the journey… finding those places you didn’t necessarily plan on finding, getting out of the Jeep, exploring a different way, meeting people along the way and saying YES when an unexpected adventure presents itself. And Day 1 pretty much became exactly that. I started in Key Largo with a paddleboard and an e-bike… and somehow ended up on a boat, snorkeling the reefs, swimming down to Christ of the Abyss, hanging out at a sandbar, and eventually making my way back to camp to cook dinner and figure out what tomorrow might hold. And this was only DAY ONE. 😂 The Road Rash Florida Adventure Series officially begins THURSDAY on YouTube. 13 days working my way north through Florida. Sometimes the adventure gets really quiet. No trails. No engine. No destination I needed to get to. Just a paddleboard, the mangroves, and a side of the Florida Keys I would’ve completely missed from the Jeep. Camp is set. Now what? That became one of my favorite questions on this entire trip. Sometimes the answer was unfolding the bike and finding another trail. Sometimes it was throwing a paddleboard on my back and finding a way onto the water. Turns out, some of the best adventures started after I parked the Jeep. One of my favorite things about this Florida adventure was finding new ways to explore once the Jeep stopped. Camp is set up… so instead of packing everything back up, unfold the Aipas F3 and see where the trail goes. Or throw the BOTE on my back and go find some water. The Jeep gets me there. The adventure doesn’t have to stop there. Huge thanks to Festive Water for getting me on the water for this trip and Aipas for giving me another way to keep exploring. The Jeep can only take you so far… and I think that became one of my favorite parts of this entire Florida adventure. For 13 days, I worked my way north through Florida, following dirt roads, disappearing into the woods, camping in some incredible places, chasing a little history, and looking for adventures I probably would have driven right past before. But this trip was different. Sometimes I parked the Jeep and jumped on the bike. Sometimes I strapped a paddleboard on my back and went looking for water. And sometimes the best part of the day started when I left the trail completely and started exploring a place from an entirely different perspective. And Florida absolutely delivered. There were definitely some things that didn’t go according to plan 😂… but that’s also what made this trip what it was. 13 days. One Jeep. A LOT of Florida. And one heck of an adventure.
